Harold G. Cash (“Cash”) is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Solomon Solution, LLC. Cash has a long and successful history in the building industry. For over 35 years he led Cash Development, a residential homebuilder in the Washington, DC area. He managed all aspects of the business including community relations, contractor management, licensing and regulatory, and sales and marketing. He is a lead and asbestos remediation expert and is licensed to perform construction inspections in Washington, DC. Cash Development was sold in 2016. In addition to his development business, Cash founded and managed American Masters Warranty Services, an organization providing warranty and repair services to residential homeowners.
Cash is a proud United States Air Force veteran, honorably discharged after serving as a civil engineer. He also volunteers by providing contractor services for My Own Place, a non-profit organization established to maximize the independence of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cash is a resident of northwest Washington, DC.
Rory Veevers-Carter, co-founder of The Solomon Solution. Veevers-Carter has done three projects in DC, two complete renovations and one remodeling, when the current project is completed the total value of the projects is over $6 million dollars. As a builder and renovator Veevers-Carter’s ethos is to build as if he was going to live in the house. In addition to renovation business, Veevers-Carter is President of FlightLookup, Partner at WeatherPlanner and JabaTalks. Veevers-Carter is an experienced international business development strategist, with over 25 years’ experience in the high technology sector. He helped build the fastest flight connection engine in the world, building millions of connections with complex rules to over 30 million queries on a daily basis across multiple platforms and used by the major airline and alliances. He has been instrumental in ensuring understanding the customer’s needs and ensuring the engineering team delivers to exceed expectations. As President, he built the infrastructure to support the major airlines with mission critical information delivered on demand. Veevers-Carter is customer centric in being part of the internal team, understanding their business needs and creating the flexible platforms for future growth. A serial entrepreneur, he is also actively involved in WeatherPlanner and JabaTalks. Veevers-Carter holds a BS in Business Administration from Babson College and enjoys fishing, cooking and travelling (visited 109 countries and lived in 7). He is based in Washington DC.
Vincent P. Griffin, co-founder of The Solomon Solution, has a varied background in corporate finance and consultancy having been a corporate and investment banker and advisor focusing on M&A and Corporate Development activities. Mr. Griffin previously served as Vice President, Advisory in Gartner, Inc.’s Finance Practice. In this role, Mr. Griffin advised CFOs and other senior finance executives on critical issues facing their organizations and assisted them in translating best demonstrated practices into action in their respective organizations. Areas of specialty included finance talent development, finance functional strategy, finance transformation, role design and organizational structure, planning and analysis, M&A support and enterprise cost and capital management. A sought-after speaker, Vince also facilitated meetings for senior Finance executives across a variety of client and industry settings and topics.
He is the past Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of Dream Foundation, the only national provider of end-of-life Dreams to terminally-ill adults, serving as. Additionally, Vince served on the Board of Directors of the Ellington Fund of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and was a member of the Finance Committee. Prior to joining CEB/Gartner, Mr. Griffin was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for Thompson Hospitality, a national hospitality company, where he was responsible for M&A and strategy development. He was also a co-founder and Managing Director of MCG Capital, a publicly-traded specialty finance company, where he oversaw a $200 million portfolio of debt and equity investments. Prior to co-founding MCG, Mr. Griffin served in a variety of corporate lending positions with Signet/First Union Bank, now Wells Fargo & Company. Mr. Griffin is a graduate of the University of Virginia with BS degrees in Finance, and Human Resources Management. He is a resident of Arlington, VA.
The Honorable Michael A. Brown, Chief Marketing Officer of The Solomon Solution. Prior to joining Solomon, Michael worked at several law/lobbying firms as a federal lobbyist, most recently as a partner with Potomac International Partners located on Capitol Hill. Michael has been a member of several other firms, including: Edwards Angel Palmer & Dodge; Patton Boggs Law Firm; Greenberg Traurig Law Firm; and Managing Partner of Alcalde & Fay. Michael also worked in the office of Congressman Peter Rodino (D-NJ), as a Legislative assistant.
Michael was elected to the Washington, DC City Council as an, At-Large member, eventually being elected to the position of Vice-Chairman of the DC City Council. Michael worked on a variety of issues as Chairman of the Economic Development Committee, including both large and small Development projects in DC. Michael was also instrumental in the protection of Senior Citizens Housing & Property rights, especially for those that choose to age in place.
Michael was the National Finance Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2000-2005. He also served as a surrogate speaker for the following Presidential Campaigns: Biden-Harris; Obama-Biden; Clinton-Gore; Gore-Liberman; and Kerry-Edwards. Michael is a sought after and frequent guest on FOX-NEWS, CNN, TVONE, MSNBC and other local and international TV & Radio shows. Michael has served on several Corporate & Community boards, including being a Co-Founder of the Ronald H. Brown Foundation. Michael is a graduate of Clark University (Mass.) and Widener University, Delaware School of Law. He is a third-generation Washingtonian.
